A little About Me!!
Why did you decide to go into apparel?
After getting involved in a Fashion Club at my high school my interests changed. Myself and two of my best friends began organizing charity fashion shows. I didn't do this because I had to but because it was my passion. I loved that I got to learn more about the industry and still give back to extremely deserving organizations.
Who are your role models?
I have been blessed with the best women in my life. My mother who is the most selfless woman I know is my number one role model. The other strong women in my life including both my grandmothers, my aunt Kimberly and my cousin Michaela. They have all taught me the importance of working hard and becoming successful on your own.
What is the best compliment you have ever received?
When I was in high school I was also on the swim team. This meant I had to endure grueling practice everyday sometimes twice a day. Even though it was difficult I still went to each practice wanting to improve and with a positive attitude. My coach gave me the nickname Happy Adams because even after a hard practice I would pop out of the water with a smile on my face.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love to travel. I will take as many side trips to different places as possible. A few other things I enjoy are cooking and working out. I also love spending time with my friends. I am always happiest when I am surrounded by them. My current fitness goals are to participate in the Des Moines Women's Half Marathon and improve my strength!
